Tuesday October 16, 2007: The NASA flight managers announced just moments ago (8:48pm tonight) that Discovery is ready and cleared for launch next Tuesday morning, October 23rd. I'm hoping for good weather at the Cape as I will be only 6 miles from the launch pad (the closest that a member of the public can get). I'll be taking lots of pics and will post them soon after the launch (scheduled for 11:38am eastern).
